Andrew Weishar was certainly a unique young man and my family was very fortunate to have him in our lives. Unfortunately, the circumstances of a young adult, with so much promise, stricken with cancer is not unique. When our family researched the demographic of Adolescents and Young Adults with cancer, we quickly learned that there were very few non-profits focused on helping this group. Weish4Ever’s mission of providing immediate financial assistance to Adolescents and Young Adults stricken with cancer fills a gaping hole. This has been validated by overwhelming support we have received in helping more than 200 families with over one million dollars in grants in our first six years. As a family, we have been tremendously blessed and it is important that we give back. Andrew’s dying wish to his brother was to pay forward the kindness and generosity he experienced in his fight with cancer. While there are so many worthy charities to consider, the Mehalek family could not be more proud than to be part of Weish4Ever.
My most important role is Husband and Father. I am very fortunate to be married to Angela Mehalek for 30 years. We have been blessed with three incredible children, Marissa (+ Tyler), Martin and Jeffrey. When not enjoying my family, I spend my days selling software. After 9 years in various Corporate Accounting roles, I moved into the technology world and have been selling Enterprise Technology for the past 25 years. I currently work for Tableau Software, a division of Salesforce.
